Feline Myths & Misunderstandings!
Cats are probably one of the most mis-understood of all domestic animals. Myths and Myth-understandings abound! Would you like to better understand what your cat is saying and how your body language affects your communication with your feline friends?
Carol Byrnes, creator of the "What is My Dog Saying?" power point for dog trainers has collaborated on this project with Certified Cat Behavior Consultant Jacqueline Munera of Positive Cattitudes to create a training tool for veterinary clinic staff, shelter staff, cat and dog behavior specialists and cat owners alike.
Note to Mac users:
Most Mac users don't have any problems, but occasionally there are frustrations, so I am including some possible solutions here.
Trouble shooting:
-
The presentations include several videos. In 'What is My Dog Saying' and 'WIMDS at the Dog Park' on the slides which contain videos, you will find two buttons, one for .wmv (Windows) movie files and one for .mov (Quicktime) video files for Mac users. Unfortunately, there are so many movies on the What is My Cat Saying presentation, we haven't been able to convert/include both formats for this presentation at this time. You can view the .wmv movie files on your Mac by installing Flip4Mac. Other problems with videos? Find more information here: http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00917_How_to_insert_a_-WMV_movie_into_Mac_PowerPoint.htm
-
Most systems have no problem playing the Powerpoint program. For older Macs, there is a PPT98VW.HQX viewer file included in the download.
-
For users with Mac OS X who can't open the presentation, you can download Apache OpenOffice program that will allow you to view PowerPoint. http://www.openoffice.org/download/
-
If you are trying to view the presentation on an Ipad or tablet and it isn't working, try using a regular desktop computer or you might also try this free app download: http://www.investintech.com/apps/presentfreepowerpointipad/

Another occasional hitch for newer version Mac users is opening the Zip files. If this is your issue, this page may have your solution: http://macs.about.com/od/faq1/f/How-To-Zip-And-Unzip-Files-And-Folders-On-A-Mac.htm
