Learn how & when to raise criteria.
New skills & distractions at each level.
More fun and games to challenge your training abilities!
Get ready to take the Canine Good Citizen Test!

When you've accomplished your blue level goals,
move on to a green level, and then red.
You do not have to take all of the blue level one classes
to move on to the green level two classes.
You need only accomplish your personal skill goals.

Leash work in the real world. Enjoy the cooler summer evenings
as you practice loose leash walking in area parks. Work on attention around distractions!

September:

Sept 9-30 Advanced Clicker Training! Thursdays: 7:45-9:30PM
This is a very technical class for committed trainers who have completed
a green level class and want to learn more about clicker training.
Back chaining and teaching complex behaviors through shaping & targeting.
Create and implement a training plan for your personal training goals!
Week one is without dogs, if you have a crate, bring it with you each week!

Sept 4-25 Paw & Order - Saturdays 9:30-10:30AM
Build a really reliable recall away from distractions!

Sept 19-Oct 10 It's All Tricks to Them! - Sundays 3:00-4:30PM
Teaching tricks is a great way to keep you motivated to train and to have fun with your dog.
Practice getting novel behaviors and putting them on cue. Maybe your dog could be a movie dog!
Open to Prep level and higher - pre-requisite: must have clicker basics.

Sept 22-Oct 13 Loose Leash Walking - Wednesdays 12:30-2:00PM
Brush up on your leash work. Good manners. No pulling! We will work step by step
through all the skills your dog needs for leash walking to be pleasant rather than a chore.

Oct 2-23 Canine Good Citizen - Saturdays 9:30-10:30AM
Exercises with the Canine Good Citizen test in mind:
Proper greeting and exam, response to cues, loose leash walking, stay, come,
manners and control around other dogs and when walking in crowds and around distractions.
Taught by AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator Kathie Wamsley.

Retrieve - bobbing for biscuits. Thanksgiving self control - pass the hors d'oeuvrs! Christmas fun.

Oct 30-Nov 20 Dastardly Distractions - Saturdays 9:30-10:30AM
Overcome the challenges of working with your dog around distractions.
Build attention and reliability - teach self control!
Open to all dogs Prep level and higher

Oct 31-Nov 21 Stretching and Strengthening -
Core Exercise Class for Your Dog Sundays, 1:00-2:30
Your pet will learn how to engage their "core" muscles to create strength and reduce injuries.
This class is not just for athletes or geriatrics. All adult dogs will benefit from learning these skills and you
will have another fun way to tire your dog without having to brave the elements, whether heat or cold, rain or snow.

Oct 31-Nov 21 Home Helpers - Sundays 3:00-4:30PM
Teach your dog to retrieve useful items, to help with the laundry, and to put away his toys.
We'll also work on opening and closing doors, turning on lights, and carrying things for you.

TRANSFERS, CANCELLATIONS AND MAKE-UPS
Because our classes are limited to 8-10 students per class, classes frequently fill
weeks in advance. Last minute cancellations and transfers can wreak havoc
with the balance of the class registrations. Please check your calendar
carefully and plan to attend the class you sign up for.

Make-ups are available.
Should an emergency or illness occur, please call as early
as possible to make arrangements for transfer to a future class.

Transfers must be taken within 60 days. No refunds after week 2.

tuition payment with the registration.
