He did everything with style.

He did nothing half-way, nothing without adding his own personal flair.

He knew a million tricks, and would do them for anyone, covering for those who
couldn't do the signals quite right by guessing if need be.
If he thought they could do better, he'd wait patiently til they got it right.

On pet therapy visits, he'd dive up to his shoulders into his bag to fish out
his plastic bag of treats, His tail never stopped wagging as he trotted around the room
to plop the bag in the lap of an indicated patient, or one of his choice.
The chosen "trainer" got to give him a cue - and a treat ... or two.
He taught hundreds of kids tricks. He was infallible at hide and go seek,
no matter where they hid his favorite toy.

He could spin so fast all four feet came off the ground.

He could fly ...

The kids called him "Air Ed"

He loved applause. He was always at his best in front of an audience.

He would retrieve anything, from a guitar pick to a 10 lb bag of potatoes or gallon of milk.

He could be rowdy ...

or sweet.

He visited classrooms, juvenile hall, hospitals, nursing homes
and ate fancy lunch with the ladies of the philanthropic organization.
He starred in a TV ad for Pet Stuff called "shopping with Eddie"
and he appeared in ads for Thunder Mtn Dog Supply and MSC Corp. He hosted hospital bingo
and can still be seen in a mini-movie about pet therapy which airs at SHMC every day.

He had a very full life.

We wish every stray behind bars the same chance Eddie had, to be extra special,
and so very loved. We'll miss him every single moment of every day.

He will be with us forever.
